Current Loving - Twig Creative

I have a new current loving and I am so happy to be writing this post about it!  Recently I discovered TWIG Creative on Instagram!  What is TWIG you might ask?

Twig is a creative husband and wife duo that creates handcrafted wooden toys and children’s furniture.  These modern toys and furniture pieces are made to be not only beautiful, but also functional.

My favorite product is their toy wooden camera.  I have a small collection of cameras that I have been very slowly collecting, and I think this might be the next one I add to my collection, even though it is a toy.

Steve and Michelle, the creators behind Twig did not want their children to spend their entire childhood glued to a screen, so they started designing toys that were inspired by modern gadgets.  The cameras merge modern design and technology together with the traditional medium of wood.  These one-of-a-kind handmade cameras help encourage imagination and creativity through play, forget about iPod’s and IPad’s.  The knobs and buttons are moveable and they also have a rotating viewfinder, which help develop fine motor skills.

The Cameras are handcrafted from eco-friendly materials and paints. Each measures approximately 3.5 x 2 x 1 inches and comes with a white cotton strap (which is easily removable for the safety of younger children). You can also personalize a camera strap with your child’s name for an additional cost.  The cameras are suitable for ages 3 plus.

Take a look at some of their great camera’s below!

Inspired by the classic Kodak design. Solid wood with front to back cork inlays and a red filtered lens.

I think I will be adding the Gold Pixie to my camera collection! Mia will be happy she will be able to play with at least one of the cameras in the collection!
